I am really confused
I live in a relatively cold country: Canada. We have been used in temperature extremes and at times fluctuating. But the last couple of years we all witnessed a deteriorating weather phenomena, both in the winter as well as in the summer. Both appear to be getting cooler, especially in the general area we live which has no great high mountains (or even cliffs in some places).

I tried to explain this phenomenon in a semi technical way under: http://yourfree-blog.com/YourBlog/?cat=47 I am sure there are many many people out there with great credentials to explain this paradox. I have the general feeling that something is happening (melting ice, solar spots, solar explosions and numerous other causes). I also get the feeling that the consequences may prove to be very dramatic, even within our lifetime no matter how old you are.

For example a few years back there was an ice storm in the winter in Eastern Canada which caused several high voltage towers to collapse (from the combined effect of ice and wind). The net result was that some communities (especially in Quebec) were left without electrical power for many weeks.

You can imagine what this means, to be left without electricity. The worst is that your gas heating system will not work, most systems relly on electricity to power the fan which will circulate the air heated from gas. No electricity means no Heat, means running to the nearest shelter seeking some warmth.

I think we must be told more from our Governments and also get advise on how to cope with situations as the above possible scenario.

RE: I am really confused
I happen to also live in Canada and over the last 3 or 4 years I am witnessing very starnge weather behaviour. At times it feels hooter than previous years and at times much colder. Scientist are telling us that it will take a long time for any measurable changes. Quite often I feel that this is not true and that changes may come much sooner
